ESPARTO — November 2, 2026. Yolo County’s Esparto Convenience Center at 27075 County Road 19A provides recycling and waste drop-off twice a week, with clear restrictions on what can be accepted.
When the site operates
The county lists Wednesday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The site may close for a half-hour lunch break when staffing is limited. Published holiday closures include Thanksgiving and Christmas, so users should verify holiday weeks before loading a vehicle.
What is recyclable for free
The county identifies glass, approved plastics, mixed paper, metals, cardboard, used motor oil and filters, and e-waste as accepted free-recycling categories. Disposal of other permitted material may incur fees and must follow facility staff instructions.
What the facility refuses
The list includes asbestos, propane cylinders, explosives, fluorescent tubes, infectious and liquid waste, treated railroad ties, septic materials and commercial waste. Those require another approved disposal route. Call 530-787-3387 about material acceptance and never leave items at the locked gate.
